Drvenik Veliki

Drvenik Veliki is a Croatian island located in the Adriatic Sea between Šibenik and Trogir, made up of the main villages of Drvenik Veliki, Donji Drvenik, Gornji Drvenik, Kapelica, and Glavica. It is a stunning destination known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, and rich wildlife. The island's coastline is composed of numerous bays and coves, including Soline Beach, which offers breathtaking views of nearby towns, yacht-filled bays, and Mediterranean pastures. Swimming in the shallow waters provides the opportunity to observe local fish and other marine life. Kremik Cove, located on the southern side of the island and accessed via a narrow stone path, is a popular spot for sunbathing and offers beautiful views of Skradin and the Venetian-style churches of Trogir.
Drvenik Veliki is also home to lagoons and littoral wetlands, which provide a safe haven for various species of birds, amphibians, and mammals. These areas are protected as part of the Drvenik Veliki Nature Park, established in 1995. Visitors may observe rare birds such as hawks, falcons, and owls while exploring the island's rich plant life. In addition to its natural beauty, the island is also known for its gastronomy, with numerous restaurants serving fresh seafood and local wineries and producers offering organic fruit and vegetable products.
The island offers a variety of activities for visitors, including walking and biking trails, kayaking, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the island's coves and lagoons and get an up-close look at the vibrant marine life.
