Brijuni - National Park

Nestled along the northern coast of Croatia, the stunning Brijuni National Park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and history buffs alike. Comprised of 15 islands and islets, the park's archipelago spans a total of 7,800 hectares, making it one of the largest national parks in Croatia. Visitors can marvel at the park's beautiful sandy beaches, lush forests, and traditional villages, all while experiencing a variety of activities.
One of the park's standout features are its sandy beaches, which are perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling in the warm, shallow waters off the coast. For those seeking a more secluded spot, there are plenty of hidden coves that are ideal for diving and soaking up the tranquil atmosphere.
But the park's beauty doesn't stop at the coast - its interior is just as stunning, with rolling hills and lush forests that are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including marine mammals, birds, and even wild boar. Visitors can explore the park's trails on foot, by bike, or on horseback, discovering new routes and breathtaking views at every turn. Maps of the park's trails are available at the park's office.
In addition to its natural wonders, the Brijuni National Park is also home to a rich cultural heritage, with ancient settlements, museum exhibits, and archaeological sites that offer insights into the park's past. There are also plenty of activities for younger visitors, including tennis courts, paintball fields, and boat tours.
Located close to major cities like Pula, the Brijuni National Park is an ideal destination for those looking to combine the best of both worlds - the beauty and tranquility of nature with the convenience and amenities of modern city life.
