Turanj

Turanj is a small town located in Croatia, nestled alongside the Suvavrlja River and just 30 kilometers from Zadar. With a rich history dating back to the 16th century, Turanj is known for its Roman, Byzantine, and Venetian influences. Visitors to Turanj can explore a variety of ancient churches and sites, including the Church of Apostle Luke, which sits atop a hill overlooking the town. In addition to its historical attractions, Turanj is home to a number of stunning beaches, such as the quiet and picturesque Sveti Kaz Đeval, which offers breathtaking views of the Adriatic coastline.
One of the main draws of Turanj is its peaceful, small-town atmosphere and vibrant culture. With a population of just 500, Turanj offers a unique and charming lifestyle that is often hard to find in larger cities. Set among rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves, the town center is filled with quaint stone houses and narrow streets that create a picturesque atmosphere. The locals of Turanj are known for their friendliness and welcoming nature, making it an ideal destination for tourists.
Turanj is also conveniently located near the Kornati National Park, Croatia's largest and most breathtaking park with over 150 islands and islets. The park offers endless opportunities for outdoor sports and activities, such as pop up beaches, scuba diving, and kayaking. Despite its rural setting, Turanj offers plenty of things to see and do, making it the perfect destination for those looking to experience Croatia's culture and stunning landscapes.
