Paklenica - National Park

The Paklenica National Park in Croatia is a beautiful, natural paradise that offers breathtaking vistas, untouched forests, and stunning rock formations that have captured the hearts of nature lovers and tourists from all over the world. The park consists of two breathtaking canyons - the Velika Paklenica, which is 15km long and up to 700m deep, and the Mala Paklenica, which is 7.5km long and 250m deep - as well as forests, mountains, caves, and streams, creating a rugged and breathtaking landscape.
Declared a Croatian National Park in 1949, the Paklenica National Park is now protected and preserved by the Croatian National Parks authorities. The local Banovina region is particularly famous for its rich and varied array of animal and plant species. This protected area is home to over 178 species of birds and 39 species of reptiles, but the most impressive feature is the stunning rock formations and magnificent canyon walls of the Mala and Velika Paklenica.
