Murter

Island Murter, located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, is a true paradise. With a size of 11.90 square kilometres, it is an ideal destination for a beach holiday or a peaceful escape for couples and families. As part of the Kornati archipelago, a group of about 140 islands in the Adriatic Sea, Murter is renowned for its numerous bays, narrow sea passages, and stunning waterfront views. Furthermore, its proximity to the mainland city of Šibenik makes it a perfect choice for a weekend getaway.
The island's main beach, Slanica, is the most popular spot on Murter. With its soft white sand and surroundings of evergreen pines, it is the perfect place to relax, swim in the clear blue sea, and soak up some sun. There are also several pebble and rocky beaches with hidden coves that are ideal for snorkelling and exploration.
Nature lovers will appreciate the many activities available on Murter. The island boasts a wide variety of walking and mountain biking trails, as well as opportunities for kayaking and stand-up paddling. You can explore the hills and pine forests to experience the island's natural beauty, or discover hidden coves, caves, and stunning landscapes.
In addition to Slanica Beach, Murter offers several other beaches, including Kosirina, Piskera, and Čigrađa, where you can swim, sunbathe, or hire a boat for a romantic day trip. The island is also a great place for a family vacation, with activities such as mini golf, horse riding, and mini boats for kids.
Murter is rich in culture, and its main attraction is the old town. With its stone-built houses and narrow cobblestone streets, it is a great place to explore and learn about the island's history. The main square, lined with traditional restaurants and charming cafes, is a popular gathering spot.
