The Kvarner region

Kvarner is divided into three main areas: Rijeka, the Fjords, and the Islands. Each offers unique attractions for visitors.

Rijeka

Rijeka, the region's bustling main city, is home to a national theatre, several museums, a zoo and botanical garden, and popular churches. The city's waterfront promenade is a great spot for leisurely walks.

The Fjords and Islands

The Fjords and Islands of Kvarner are some of the most scenic locations on the Adriatic coast. The Krk fjord is especially popular, with its winding inlets and breathtaking landscapes. The island of Cres is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia, while Krk and Losinj offer excellent opportunities for swimming and hiking.

The Sea

The waters around Kvarner teem with marine life, including dolphins, porpoises, whales, and various game fish. The region's rocks, bays, and islands provide habitats for a diverse array of wildlife.

In short, Kvarner is the ideal destination for those seeking a balance between outdoor adventures and relaxation. Its stunning coastline, rich culture, and crystal-clear waters make it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the best of what Croatia has to offer. There are many hidden gems to be discovered in this charming and picturesque region.
