Nestled on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, the island of Škarda is a breathtaking natural paradise that offers a range of recreational activities. Located in the Mali Losinj archipelago, a group of islands in the northern Adriatic Sea, Škarda is a small island covering just 0.19 square km but boasts stunning scenery. The island's rolling, tree-covered hills and protected nature reserve provide a traditional Mediterranean atmosphere and are home to a variety of bird and animal species, as well as wildflowers and herbs.
One of the main attractions of Škarda is its serene environment, with golden beaches and crystal-clear waters that are perfect for relaxation. These waters are also great for kayakers and snorkelers looking to explore the underwater world. Fishermen also frequent the island, as the waters are abundant with fish such as snapper, sea bass, and grouper. Seafood lovers will find plenty of delicious seafood dishes made with fresh, locally-sourced produce at the island's local restaurants.
Despite its small size, Škarda is easily accessible, with regular ferry service from Mali Losinj and connections to major Croatian cities. If you're seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Škarda is the perfect retreat.
