Molat, a small island located at the easternmost part of Central Dalmatia's Adriatic Sea, is part of the Zadar archipelago and is nestled between the islands of Dugi Otok and Iz. The island is known for its peaceful atmosphere and abundance of Mediterranean vegetation and wild nature, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing holiday in a natural setting.
Fishing, sailing, and other water sports are popular activities on Molat. The island is also renowned for its seafood, thanks to its pristine sea and environment. Some of the fish species commonly found in the area include sardines, dentex, mullet, and cuttlefishes.
Tourists can also enjoy the island's stunning coves, cliffs, and crystal-clear waters, which offer some of the best diving spots in the region. Additionally, there are numerous secluded coves along the coast that are ideal for exploring by boat.
The villages on Molat, including the main city of Podmolat and the northwest village of Veli Rat on Dugi Otok, are small and peaceful, yet offer enough services for a comfortable stay on the island.
Nature lovers will appreciate the island's numerous hiking routes and breathtaking views, as well as the opportunity to go biking and birdwatching. Overall, Molat's peaceful atmosphere, beautiful nature, and variety of outdoor activities make it a highly attractive location for a holiday.
